Security Services & Investigators Program (SSIP)
We only process SSIP (Security Service and Investigation Program) Monday to Friday
9:30 am - 6:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Do not do online payment if you are submitting your application at a registry agent. You will need to pay at the Registry.

To get a temporary licence through a registry you must:
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector search (full page & original)
- Completed Application or Renewal Forms

Required documents
- Canadian Passport Photo (colour & date stamped with date taken on back)
- Approved training course certificate
- 40-hour baton use-of-force training certificate (if applicable)
You'll also need to provide a current:
- Police information and criminal record check (full page & original)
- Passport-size colour photo (colour & date stamped with date taken on back)
