Fine Payment

Ticket

In Alberta, traffic tickets can be paid by visiting us at Chestermere Lake Registry, online, by mail or at a courthouse. If you need more time to pay, you can request it online or at the courthouse indicated on your ticket.

Current fines

Current fines are tickets that have not passed their court date.

What If My Ticket Is Overdue?

When you don't pay your ticket on time, you will be charged a late fee. We can process the payment, late fees and processing fee without the actual ticket. Once a traffic ticket due date has passed, you won't have access to any vehicle registration or operator services until your fines are paid.

What If I Can't Afford to Pay My Ticket?

If you're unable to pay your ticket, there are options, including the Fine Option Program, which allows you to work off your fine rather than making a monetary payment. To learn more, contact the Resolution and Court Administration Services at 1-855-738-4747 here

Requesting More Time to Pay:

If you cannot pay the full amount by the due date, you can request an extension through the Traffic Tickets Digital Service or at the courthouse listed on your ticket before the appearance date.

If you have already been granted time to pay and need an extension, you must return to the same court where the time was granted before the original due date.
